And we’re staying the course – continually adding new branches, so friendly, personal service is always close to home. Times change, but our commitment stays the same.

1920 Our community was growing, and people needed a financial partner they could count on.

So 14 local businessmen set out to create a better bank.

One that would grow with its community.

June 18, 1921 We opened for business and customers came in droves.

First in line? John H. He opened account number 1 for his 9-month-old son, John Jr.

Ridgewood grew from a humble storefront to our iconic main office.

1930 When the Great Depression shook the country, we stood on a firm financial foundation and continued to earn our customers’ trust.

1940s We branched out and became the fastest-growing savings bank in the U.S.

As our troops returned from World War II, we supported their dream of home ownership.

1960s Innovative services make banking faster.

1970s Great rates helped our customers save better.

1980s We have stayed the course.

1990s and continue multiplying the good in our customers’ lives.
